I walked into my first Bikram class in 2011 thinking it was going to be really easy compared to the Muay Thai training that I loved so much… In this I was unprepared for reality, I struggled with the heat, to regulate my breath and collapsed out of the poses. I came away from this experience humbled but feeling lighter, happier and with a desire to explore more. Since then I haven't looked back. It has always been my place to calm and heal myself in my mind, body and spirit.
I’ve gone through alot of phases in my life and also in my own practice. What I love about the Bikram method is that no matter where you take a class and wherever the body is, the sequence of postures are the same. I trained to teach in 2021 with OHY teacher training in Queenstown under Donna Wikio and my teaching journey began. It is important to me that people trust in the process and optimize their experience in the room, herein, naturally the benefits and healing happen.
